Quick Overview of Instructions for:  OPTION 2, Adding Addendum #2 List.
Browse to the 6 Hisways.Org pages and save each of them to your hard drive in a directory of your choice.  Save each one of them by using "View Source" and NotePad to preserve the (file) HTML links to each page.  Open your saved 2AuthorsMasterLists.html page in NotePad.  Open your own (previously assembled) Authors List in NotePad and "Copy" the whole list.  "Paste" it into 2AuthorsMasterLists.html at the exact designated place mentioned in 5g..  Save it.  View your edited web page list in your browser.  Print it, cross out any authors in the un-editable columns with a pen or add age graded designations.  Edit your Opt-IN, Opt-Out Letter For Intellectual Freedom: (1IntellectualFreedom.html) and present both of the documents to your child's school.

1.)  Prerequisites for:  OPTION 2, Adding Addendum #2 List.:  You must know what a file extension is i.e the letters following the last dot ``.`` in the file name.  If you do not know how to insure a file extension of .html using Notepad then get someone to help you do the technical part of this project.  You should also know how to Find and Open a HTML file in your IE Browser.

2.)  Before trying to edit:  Review the lists of UNapproved and Approved Authors [ Hisways.org/howto/letters/2AuthorsMasterLists.html (75 Kb file)]. and prove to yourself that they should be YOUR UNapproved and Approved Authors Lists.

          a.)
Note also there are some authors that are on both lists and are designated with (!) symbol.  They can be scratched out with a pen after printing and blank lines on both lists are available to write in authors.  [View: 4AUTHORS-On BOTH Lists: (!) - (cross off) (file) ].
b.)    Some attention should be given to writing in the appropriate Grade Level Equivalents of the Approved Authors listed or added to
YOUR UNapproved and Approved Authors List. [ see #3.]

3.)  Research and develop your own list of Approved Authors that are appropriate for your children.  Your own personal list will be added in under the Approved Authors addendum list #2 in the dual list.  The purpose of this step is to secure your list of authors and make them a single column of authors names and store them in a Notepad text file in your "My Documents" folder or equivalent working directory.  The list of authors should be alphabetized on last name and numbered for later convenience and readability.  If you start numbering at #337., it will match the insertion point of the Addendum list #2.  [Recall
Grade Level Equivalents in 2.b. above.]

4.)  Detailed Instructions:  Save the 3 web pages below to your Hard Drive, maybe in your "My Documents" folder or equivalent working directory because you want to keep your edited pages so that you can manipulate them or re-edit them for the next school year or/and K-12.
