12/08/2009 Completed: Attended today's School Board meeting and witnessed the "2nd reading" of all revised policies which was really just a recommendation from the committee to accept the policies from the 1st reading with some specific exceptions that are still being developed. The motion to accept was seconded and passed unanimously. The new Religion Policy i.e. #2270 was a sub section of the "#2200 Program" section which was accepted without changes from the 1st reading. Other sections and policies were unfinished.
12/01/2009 Received: Email back from Dr. Mortimer, Director of Policy and Planning PSCB, Re: "policy is scheduled for adoption at the December 8, 2009 Board meeting."
10/3/2009 Received: Email back from Mr. James Robinson regarding the results after the 1st reading and next ToDo.
9/23/2009 Received: Email back from Dr. Mortimer, Director of Policy and Planning PSCB The first reading for the Religion Policy is scheduled for PCSB meeting: Tues. Sept. 29th. at 10:00 am. (See emaiBlog for confirmation since SB only publishes meeting minutes in arrears.) Other policy readings to be heard on Oct. 13th meeting. (BTW I sent this with some questions to Liberty Counsel and one of the lawyers called me back and said that it was not as comprehensive as their original but that it was OK, no gaping omissions, and that it was "defensible".)
8/31/2009 Sent a email asking: "whether a first reading date has been established for the new Policy rewrite?" Ans. 9/16/09
6/11/2009 Received: Email back from Mr. James Robinson regarding my fax of 5/27/09. The answer was that a major rewrite with a religion freedom section will be ready for the 1st review/reading in the fall.

5/8/2007 Two, same day, presentations before PCSB [Pinellas County School Board] regarding:
- 1.) A recommendation by Hisways USA, Inc. for The Liberty Counsel's Comprehensive Religion Policy and
- 2.) Mrs. Nancy Davis' request for a religion policy example from another school district.

Note: About 60 days prior to the presentations Mrs. Davis and I circulated in person and by email the above petition properly filled out to represent our school district to various individuals, citizens, for profit companies and nonprofit organizations to gather signatures for the Model School Board Religion Policy presentation. After receiving all of the petitions (originals only) a date was set to make the presentations.
