National Day of Prayer -
          The first Thursday in May is the National Day of Prayer.  2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

STUDENT RELIGIOUS LIBERTIES IN SUNDAY SCHOOL. -
    You can inform your Sunday School students and parents about their religious liberties in our public schools by giving them a copy of Hisways' Religious Guide for Parents & Public Schools  which is available from  https://hisways.org/steward/Rel-Guid.htm .  This double sided document has a list of all of the religious freedoms with handy online reference links to the official Federal Dept. of Education documents.  It also has a parallel list of Liberty Defenders in case the school is not fully aware of all of the students rights; in this case, the right to pray at school.
     Imagine all the children in your church going home this Sunday with a copy of this free document for their parents to read and have as a religious liberty resource to carry into our schools!

    Although the "Day of Silence" was Wednesday 4/26 and the "Day of Truth" is Thursday 4/27 these parental defense tools can be effective any time:

• reduces life expectancy at age twenty by at least 8 to 20 years
• increases by at least 500% the risk of contracting AIDS
• increases the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted disease by nearly 900%

• substantially increases the likelihood of smoking, having mental health disorders (other than same-sex attraction), being the victim of “domestic” violence, and being involved in alcohol and drug abuse.
• substantially increases the likelihood of contracting hepatitis and other gastrointestinal infections
• substantially increases the risk of contracting bacterial vaginosis, breast cancer, and ovarian cancer
• has high levels of participation in sadomasochism, coprophilia, sadomasochism, fisting, and other dangerous, deviant sex practices
• involves extraordinarily high levels of promiscuity  ..."
These are similar to but probably more accurate than the claims made in : The DECEIT of 'Sexual Orientation & Youth, A Primer for Principals, Educators & School Personnel' https://hisways.org/coop-min/sex-ore.htm  where leaving abstinence is calculated to be suicidal!  The assumption is that suicide begins at initial HIV infection because after that it's just a matter of time, low quality and expensive time at that.
"The Da Vinci Code"  -
        Don't waste your time, money or faith.  This book/movie is not ordinary fiction because it will attack your core belief system.  This is different than book/movie/media bias.  Most American's believe in God and believe that the Bible is the Word of God.  Most people would see that these claims are preposterous but I think those that open their mind to this blasphemous (1. to speak of or address with impious irreverence 2. to revile; abuse.) dogma will have their minds filled with a multitude of doubts.  Doubt that is the opposite of Faith.  Doubt of the absolute truth of the Word of God.  Many more doubts than your mind could process so that you would leave with less truth, with less faith.  If you don't have truth to apply to life then you are left with trial and error.
        As an example a short, personal testimony of wrong thinking.  In 196? the John Birch Society called for the impeachment of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, probably the prayer and Bible cases.  There was such a slanderous smear from the media that I didn't rediscover the truth that the Birchers were conservative until the mid 1990's - 30 years!  I don't like being fooled.  Don't you be fooled.  This is not entertainment.  This is another blasphemous Secular Religious attack on your faith in God The Father, God The Son and God The Holy Spirit.  If you must know what the lies and seeds of doubt are, you might check out the books on the subject written by authoritative theological authors.  Maybe read the Bible through instead.
       BTW you know, of course, that the ALA ( Am. Library Assoc.) librarians are going to get this book into your child's school library in the fall.  You should know too that there is no ethical, legal or commercial reason whatsoever for your library board to use or adhere to The ALA Guidelines.  See:   6.
