Here is some good news about "The Good News" and the "largest Bible Club in the nation".

        In the town of New Bethelem, PA there are Redbank Valley  High School Students Flock(ing) to Public (School) Bible Club (2011)  and On Fire for God: Public School Bible Clubs Spread and student interviews on Facebook).    See YouTube video: Public School Bible Clubs; secret to success! Government School is (almost) out for the summer -

        Now at the end of the school year, all over the USA, there is talk of 'failing schools'.  We normally think of it as failure to educate the kids, like not meeting the standard grade level.  This is somewhat true but in my humble opinion the larger issues are the instruction of these ideas: Secular Religious dogma, Anti-Cultural and Anti-Constitutional i.e. Anti-American curricula.  For several decades they have instituted Behavior Modification.  Well God has Behavior Modification.  He has a 40 acre pasture out there that the kids can play in.  It is safe and secure. It has at least 9 wonderful, honest and true, learning experiences.  It is unfenced and unbounded by any laws.  It is defined in Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)  [22] "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control.  Against such there is no law.  (emphasis added).  "THERE IS NO LAW".   Who would have thought that God has a condition where there are  No boundaries against Spiritual love!   No laws against Spiritual joy and peace!   No Commandments against long-suffering and self-control (temperance)!   Unlimited, righteous indulgences!   Unbounded liberties of faith and humility (meekness)!   Where excesses of gentleness and goodness are impossible!  Will your child enjoy this Spiritual fruit?  What fruit will they get in school?  Pure love or lust and sex education?  Happy hour alcohol and drugs instead of joy?  United Nations and Greenpeace instead of real peace?  Instant gratification instead of patience/longsuffering?  What faith or whose faith are they teaching in government schools?  This is why the Bible must return to the public school curriculum.
        This next item "The PEERS Test" is a way for parents to test their child's world view over the summer to see whether it's Biblically conservative or secularly liberal. 
        This eNewsLetter will prompt the parent, grandparent and tax payer to look at several ways to defend the children's mind and spirit in the next school year.   For instance, here is a page to help you create a parent survey to help organize parents for the start of school in the fall .  See this printable  Post School PopUp page. Fill In Gaps In Childs Education.  

       The best and easiest way for the parent to improve their child's grade level next year is to fill in any gaps in this year's or past years' grade .   I just wanted to add that parents and kids can have a little fun with education this summer by playing "Are you smarter than a x grader?"  Learning is fun when taken one step at a time.  You can get the Accelerated Achievement (A^2) homeschool CD (1 ea.) for $99.00 or similar curricula.  If your student is in the 3rd grade ask them to play "Are you smarter than a kindergartner?" or "first grader".  Using this method you could speed through the curricula in 5-6 sessions of 30-40 minutes and have a little fun and fill in any gaps in his education .  After that you could play "Are you smarter than a second grader?"  Using the same technique, you can find and repair any weak areas.  Of course it follows that playing  "Are you smarter than a 3rd grader?"  would cap off a pleasant and complete review of several grades of school material.  If you do this fun game after each grade k-12 you could prove the child's education and show him your enthusiasm for an excellent and complete education i.e. a valuable education.  Once the gaps are filled in , the next grade curriculum will be even easier.   ( Note: I have no financial interest in the A^2 home school materials.)   I suggested the A^2 material because the basic methodology for this CD is so simple i.e. 1. print the lesson.  2. let student do the lesson  3.  print the test.  4.  let student take the test.  5.  grade the test.   6.  review weaknesses.  7.  instill the rewards of your approval and their mastery of grade level skills and the very good foundation for next year's acquisition of knowledge; or after filling in the gaps you could work on the next grade's material over the summer s let the child excel next year.
     So the object is to "fill in any gaps in his education".  This is a very peculiar statement.  Think about it - you just can't imagine what you don't know.  The proof of this is in the statement you have probably uttered i.e. "If I knew then what I know now".  This is my observation and frustration with public school parents that just don't realize what their children are missing.  We have this perception that all is well; we are bounding up the staircase of education; and, hooray! we've graduated; when in actuality, we are falling backwards down the stairs decade after decade not realizing the pain until one day we hit the bottom with a worthless certificate/degree in hand.  Depending on which survey you use USA's level of education has fallen to 35 or 40 when listed with other countries.  Not to mention the void in Bible knowledge.
     Some examples of the gaps in education can be generalized by observation of current curricula standards.  Phonics is the science of vocabulary; and, large public school districts have not allowed pure phonics since "blended" became popular and stupid.  Latin is the science of English grammar; and, public school districts haven't had Latin for a long time.  I heard that a New Math is making its way back and we all know how successful the first New Math was.  When will we learn and when will we demand pure unpoliticized curriculum?
