The 3rd purpose of this page, for the
sake of truth, is to
comment on the criticisms of the Bible that are addressed by the
discovery and study of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and to introduce
a newly discovered and perhaps an intentional and longterm
error.
- Are
There Errors In The Bible?
It
is a smaller, unproven and perhaps insignificant concern. The
so-called errors are
usually analyzed with respect to the
evidence of the Dead Sea Scrolls, see (1.), (2.)
and (3.)
above.
The subject of the so-called errors was settled for me
personally after a class on the Dead Sea Scrolls. The result
of the class showed that none, zero,
of the so-called errors had any effect whatsoever on The Bible's
DOCTRINAL TRUTH.
That means that the truth and value of the godly stories and
the principles of life, health
and wealth therein are wonderfully preserved and applicable to our
lives
today.
- Is This
an Intentional and Longterm Error?
This potential error, IMHO, is
apparently an
intentional error and
is developed in the first two videos a. & b. below by NathanH83
(YouTube).
The
significance of the inaccuracy of the Masoretic
Text,
dated between "the 7th and 10th centuries" mostly
effects a time line from creation to Abraham; and, perhaps the Israeli
connection
to
world history neither of which seems to be a "need to know" item for
theologians, creationists or historians. Even if it is
eventually proven
to be
true: [1.] It doesn't change any of
the basic 12 systematic Biblical doctrines that are consistent from
Genesis to Revelation i.e through the Old and New Testaments.
