I believe The Bible is The Inerrant, Infallible, Absolutely True, Holy Spirit Inspired, Word, of the Living God.  Why?  Because God doesn't lie, makes no errors or mistakes; is Absolute Truth whose Holy Spirit inspires mankind in print and in mind and spirit.  And there is a huge body of evidence. 

    Here are encouraging words from a few magnificent authors.  These are my favorites that I believe and trust.  I have found that they will lift the fog of discouragement and bring peace.  I can not think of any other books or authors who have such wonderful words for this day, time and place.

    I have memorized most of these verses so that at the instant of discouragement, the moment of regret, I can repeat the applicable Holy Spirit Inspired Words of power that nips it in the bud i.e. 2 Co 10:5b (NIV).  If one repetition is not enough repeat it.

Mar 12:30-31  Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[fn]  31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[fn] There is no commandment greater than these.”

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Isa 26:3-4 (KJV)  Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4  Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Jhn 10:10 (NKJV)  The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Jhn 16:33 (NKJV)  These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

Philip 4:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  
Philip 4:8 (NKJV)  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Phl 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  7  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 
Phl 4:8  Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.
 
God is renewing your hope.  1 Peter 1:3 declares, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."  The risen Savior is reviving hope in our heart.
God is renewing your strength.  Isaiah 40:31 famously promises they that wait on the Lord "will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  Stay in faith and feel renewal in your strength, energy, and passion.
 God is renewing your spirit.  Ezekiel 36:26 contains God's promise, "I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you."
       If this year wore you down or depressed your spirit, you can look for a new spirit of joy right now!  Any time of the day or year, let your zeal for life and the Lord be renewed.

Isaiah 41:13 (NIV) For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

1 Corinth 10 (KJV) - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10 (NIV)

Psalms 27:14 (KJV)  Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalms 37:8-9 (KJV)  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.  For evil doers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
