Howdy Folks,
       In this year's September eNewsLetter the "Public School Spirit" emphasis focuses on several, concurrent on-campus activities which can be stacked together.
1.  The first, one week long, "Spiritual activity" is encouragement for your kids to take their Bibles to school: Scriptures In Schools Week , http://www.bringyourbible.com/ , " September 22-26, 2014 , Return the Bible to America's Public Schools & Restore Biblical Literacy to America's Children  ** Millions of Christian American Students, Teachers, & School Staff Should  BRING YOUR BIBLES TO SCHOOL **"     They have a calendar of activities for every day of the week.  
2.  The second, one day, "Spiritual activity" is encouragement for: Meeting with your children or taking them to the "See You At The Pole"  on Wed. 3.  A very effective and unique outreach, "The Truth For Youth" Bible will be given to all teenagers who commit to give The Bible(s) to their unsaved friends in school.  Limit: One Bible per teenager in each home.     Right now, there are things happening of which nobody is aware that will hugely affect the way Americans teach and learn.  The vital role that technology will play in cracking open the nearly $300 billion K-12 education market today is only dimly perceived.  The most obvious impact is in the area of home education.  Increasingly powerful and affordable learning tools give parents the confidence to try their own hand as educators of their own children.

    Columnist Cal Thomas notes that this kind of technology has enormous potential to help liberate both middle-class and poor families "from their bondage to government schools."  For children whose homes cannot afford satellite dishes, their churches and boys’ clubs can acquire them for use in small groups.
         Here is a link of 30 online schools (online-home-school-curriculum.html).  At the top is a list of 10 each K-12 online schools, most of them accredited, that have a Protestant worldview non-politicized curriculum. The 1st is  Alpha Omega's  "computer-based,  "Switched-On-Schoolhouse (SOS)".  Alpha Omega also has a  Christian School Start Tips page.

  1. "Asked how he would like to be remembered, (Chuck) Norris answered as a humanitarian.  Here are some his efforts on that score:
    Norris and his wife, Gena, last year joined the board of directors of the National Council on Bible Curriculum In Public Schools with the quest of helping students understand the Bible's impact on history and literature.  Both Norrises are featured in a popular television public service announcement that encourages citizens to bring the Bible back to America's public schools as an available elective course of study.  The announcements are aired on several national networks."

    "The Norris announcements inform viewers that they can call the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools to receive information on how any citizen can help their local school board implement the NCBCPS curriculum.  Already this year a record 49 new school districts have decided to offer "The Bible in History and Literature" course.  Nationwide, 370 school districts have approved the course for use in over 1,350 schools in 37 states.  More than 93 percent of school boards approached with the curriculum have voted to implement it, and the NCBCPS materials have never been legally challenged."  Chuck Norris

Chicago:   Reasons to Oppose Common Core  CTU-Common-Core-Position-Paper.pdf   [10 reasons by The Chicago Teachers Union (Teacher's Union ! !)] .  The Common Core has created some strange alliances!  Since most teachers unions usually align themselves with the teachers and against the welfare of children, parents and tax payers, this expose` actually sounds like it is written by Americans who care ....  But in a quick reading it seems like the union's fear is that they would lose their power, in terms of lost members and dues, as public schools are closed by failure to meet Common Core standards - see page 3 and line 46 of their resolution on the last page (#12) of their pdf.

Revealed: how US and UK spy agencies defeat internet privacy and security  , Thursday 5 September 2013  "Eventually, NSA became the sole editor," the document states.   The NSA's codeword for its decryption program [is] Bullrun. ..."Project Bullrun deals with NSA's abilities to defeat the encryption used in specific network communication technologies.  Bullrun involves multiple sources, all of which are extremely sensitive."  The document reveals that the agency has capabilities against widely used online protocols, such as HTTPS, voice-over-IP and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), used to protect online shopping and banking.
